This course is designed for the dental team wanting an introduction to Dental Sleep Medicine, as well as those who already have some knowledge about Sleep Disordered breathing and who are already treating patients with Mandibular Advancement Devices (MAD).
A unique MAD completely manufactured in a digital and personalized environment in relation to the mandibular biomechanics of each patient, which increases its efficiency and comfort.
A clinically proven solution to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and Snoring, composed of two individual splints which hold the jaw in a controlled forward position in order to facilitate breathing during sleep.
The mandibular advancement is performed in a progressive and controlled way through the exchange of the lower splints. The titration sequence is predefined by the Dentist.

Dr. Karina Patel is a highly qualified and experienced dentist with a broad range of skills developed in the UK, USA, and Australia. Dr. Karina was the director of TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centres London, Devon and Dubai for a span of 10 years. She has treated over 5000 patients with sleep breathing disorders and/ or in chronic pain.
Sarah Beach is an Oral Health Therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience in Australia, Singapore and Switzerland. Sarah also holds a BHSc in Public Health, a BA in Communication and Media Management, and is a qualified Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist. Sarah lectures internationally on how to manage complex chronic TMD patients, as well as how to identify, screen and manage patients suffering from sleep disorders.
